Plant Scholar

About Plant Scholar

Many plantation campaigns end on planting day. Without ownership and monitoring, trees planted with good intentions often fail to survive. Plant Scholar closes that gap: every selected youth becomes a Plant Scholar who takes personal responsibility for planting, caring for, reporting on, and protecting their assigned tree - combining plantation, long-term care, GIS-based monitoring, SAT-MRV tracking, and scholarship recognition.

How it works

Every scholar follows the same accountable path from sapling to scholarship.

  1. Step 1

    Select scholars

Students and youth from schools, colleges, universities, districts, and communities join the program.

  2. Step 2

    Distribute saplings

Each scholar receives a suitable sapling along with clear care instructions.

  3. Step 3

    Plant & geo-tag

Trees are planted and recorded with exact location, species, and scholar information.

  4. Step 4

    Care & report

Scholars submit periodic photo updates and care reports right from the app.

  5. Step 5

    Monitor survival

SRCL and partners track survival, growth, and care quality through GIS and satellite-based (SAT-MRV) monitoring.

  6. Step 6

    Earn scholarship

Successful care and survival earn Brikkho Britti (Plant Scholarship) recognition.

  7. Step 7

    Generate impact data

Verified data supports ESG, CSR, carbon reporting, and SDG contributions.

Technology-based monitoring

Every tree is tracked with the exact GPS location, scientific and local species names, regular care reports, and a live survival status - alive, at-risk, or not surviving - plus an estimate of CO₂ sequestered.

Tree survival

A focus on long-term care, growth, and protection, not just a planting-day photo.

Youth leadership

Builds a responsible, climate-aware network of young tree guardians.

Climate data

Every tree contributes to carbon sequestration and environmental reporting.

Partnership value

Creates CSR, ESG, and carbon-credit-aligned opportunities for partner organizations.

Aligned with the SDGs

Plant Scholar’s impact model contributes directly to four Sustainable Development Goals.
